Helaman 5:12
12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
2 Nephi 9:21 & 41
21 And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam.
41 O then, my beloved brethren, come unto the Lord, the Holy One. Remember that his paths are righteous…and the keeper of the gate is the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant there; and there is none other way save it be by the gate; for he cannot be deceived, for the Lord God is his name.
Mormon 6:17
17 ..Jesus [Christ], who [stands] with open arms to receive you!
Excerpts from a recent message from Elder Renlund:
Even while we suffer, God can help us in our difficulties. He has said to us: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10). He will not desert us even in the face of overwhelming challenges. He said:
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
“For I am the Lord thy God” (Isaiah 43:2–3).
Jesus Christ loves to restore what we cannot restore, heal wounds we cannot heal, fix what is irreparably broken, and compensate for any unfairness we have endured. In fact, if we let Him, He will consecrate our suffering for our gain and sanctify to us our deepest distress. He will not just console us and restore what was lost (see Job 42:10, 12–13), but He will use our trials for our benefit.
Revelation 21:4
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
2 Nephi 4:19-21,
… I know in whom I have trusted. My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions ... He hath filled me with his love, even unto the consuming of my flesh.
2 Nephi 1:15
…and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love.

Be Still My Soul

How Firm a Foundation (v 3,4,5, & 7)
3 Fear not, I am with thee; oh, be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid.
